Missione Lauretana in Togo

La Delegazione Pontificia è lieta di comunicare che dal 27 novembre al 4 dicembre 2012 una delegazione guidata da Mons. Giovanni Tonucci, l’Arcivescovo Delegato Pontificio di Loreto, si è recata in Togo (Africa occidentale) al fine di promuovere la devozione mariana lauretana in quella terra. Della delegazione facevano parte Paolo Giovanni Monformoso, zelatore della Santa Casa e moderatore generale di un'associazione ecclesiastica “Laboratoranti nel Sì”. Il viaggio è stato ricco di condivisioni con la Chiesa locale, con la Conferenza Episcopale del Togo e con la popolazione tutta. Questi i momenti più significativi:

la posa della prima pietra per la costruzione della prima "riproduzione" della Santa Casa in Togo. Avvio di un nuovo Santuario, la celebrazione è avvenuta sabato 1 dicembre a Kpalime durante il pellegrinaggio mariano annuale della Diocesi retta da Mons. Benoit Alowonou, Vescovo di Kpalime e presidente della Conferenza Episcopale Togolese. Erano presenti oltre 10.000 fedeli insieme ad oltre 40 Sacerdoti, e la presenza del Nunzio apostolico Mons. Michael August Blume, del Presidente del Comitato per gli Aiuti Caritativi al Terzo Mondo della CEI, Mons. Giovanni Battista Gandolfo, e di Suor Antonietta Papa, membro dello stesso comitato;
la posa della prima pietra di una chiesa a Goubi (Diocesi di Sokode). Il vescovo Mons. Ambroise Djoliba ha contribuito alla costruzione della prima Parrocchia in Togo dedicata alla B. V. di Loreto;
la benedizione dei locali del Centro di Accoglienza per malati di AIDS, il primo intitolato alla Vergine di Loreto, retto dai membri locali ed italiani dell’Associazione di Monformoso.
